Third Convocation 2013

Third Convocation of The University of Faisalabad was held at Saleem Campus. Nominee Governor Punjab/ Patron of The University of Faisalabad and Chairman Board of Governors Mian Muhammad Hanif awarded degrees to graduates of the University.

Nominee Governor Punjab/ Chancellor of University of Health Sciences Lahore and Vice Chancellor University of Health Sciences Lahore Maj Gen (Retd) Prof Dr Muhammad Aslam awarded degrees to graduates of University Medical & Dental College.

Mian Muhammad Rasheed, Vice Chairman Board of Governors TUF and Prof Dr Zakir Hussain, Vice Chancellor GC University Faisalabad, were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the audience, Mian Muhammad Hanif congratulated the graduates. He said that The University of Faisalabad (TUF) was set up to help the common man to have access to higher education.  The management of TUF will continue to render its services to achieve the objectives of quality and professional education in the country. He said that TUF has been categorized by HEC in highest category “W4” in March 2013.

Prof Dr Muhammad Aslam, Vice Chancellor UHS, while addressing the convocation, appreciated the services being rendered by Madinah Foundation in education and health sectors. He said that the University has rapidly grown in a short span of time. TUF has raised its standard to a position among the top academic centers of excellence of the country. He appreciated performance of TUF and UMDC in the fields of research and development. While congratulating the graduates he expressed his hope that they would utilize their skills and knowledge for the welfare and economic wellbeing of the people of their country. He also appreciated excellent scores of students of University Medical & Dental College in MBBS professional examinations of UHS.

Prof Dr Abdul Karim Baloch, Pro Rector of the University, briefed about the performance of the Institution. He said that the University is imparting education to more than 2200 students in different disciplines including Health Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Management Studies and Arts and Social Sciences.  Towards the end of the ceremony, 779 graduates of The University of Faisalabad and University Medical & Dental College were awarded degrees. Graduates who excelled in academic and co curricular activities were awarded medals on their performance.

Faculty and staff members who rendered dedicated services to TUF and UMDC for ten years or more were also awarded medals and prizes.
